An Authentic Irish Pub right here on the island, HopLite Irish Pub features the quintessential pub atmosphere, a beer garden and great gastropub style menu offerings. Come by for a pint, the staff is friendly and accommodating.
Established in 2009, HopLite is the quintessential local pub and gathering place for visitors and residents in Carolina Beach, NC. Patterned after Irish pubs across the pond, HopLite provides a comforting and neighborly atmosphere to enjoy a pint and some terrific gastropub food. Usually on a weekly basis, HopLite also features Karaoke Night (Tuesdays) and Trivia Night (Wednesdays), as well as live music from some of the area’s talented musicians.
Proprietors, Noel and Ron Stevens purchased the restaurant in 2017 with the goal in mind to improve, but change little of the character of the pub and beer garden that is loved by regulars who frequent their local pub. Noel and Ron have called Pleasure Island home since 2010 and also own and operate ChristmaSea, a Holiday Shoppe and the CB Cigar Box, a full service cigar emporium.
The food at HopLite is made fresh to order and available through the day and night, seven days a week. Ingredients are locally -sourced whenever possible. You’ll find tradition pub fare, such as fries and burgers, along with Irish inspired favorites like Bangers and Mash, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Shepard’s Pie and Fish & Chips. In addition the kitchen will offer house specialties, like homemade soups, lasagna and Brunswick Stew.
Noel and Ron, in addition to being gregarious hosts to all who visit HopLite Pub and Restaurant, also are very involved in community support on The Island and give generously of their time for community activities and causes.
